Yavapai County is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2024.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by the County and its Finance team. The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the County’s financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
“We are pleased to receive this recognition from the GFOA,” said Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chair Mary Mallory. “This award reflects our ongoing commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and ensuring that our financial information is presented in a clear and easily understandable manner for our citizens.”
The GFOA also presents an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement (AFRA) to the individual(s) or department designated as primarily responsible for the government having earned the Certificate. This award recognizes the dedication and professionalism of the Yavapai County Finance Department.
